Bored
Ana I'm so bored with this site right now, wanna trash it.
Just for fun, here is a couple of the designs for the new version:
(I'm gonna make the thumbnails while typing the post, hold on)
The left skin/theme is the default/classic one. The one at the right is a proposed skin.
Some of you have seen this before. Basically the idea is that the site will become skinnable on both administration and user level. N yeah, i will start using cookies *shrugs*

I Am Not A MatchMaker
Apparently some sites n directories list my site as some sort of personals for ppl of indian descent or some sort of kamasutra thing. Nothing could be further from the truth. I realize the site looks a bit 'bare bones' these days but it has NEVER, nor it will EVER be marriage classified or somesuch nonesense. Please stop inquiring about this.

ANB again
Seems that they want to go back to the blue design *snickers*. Oh well... I'm not the one doing its development in any case, so lets see how it turns out. Although there are some capable people at their end, their structure for approval and decision making is the most dysfunctional one I ever encountered. They simply don't know what to expect or what to want or what they like.

ASP.NET
I'm thinking, since I'm going to do major changes to the site soon inshallah anyhow, of reimplementing the site in ASP.NET instead of classic ASP.
It will take more time since I don't know ASP.NET ;) but I think it will be worth it as both a learning experience and a way to make the backend of the site more rugged and scalable.
Also i should probably change from Access to SQL. Whew, lots of work.

The SEC-ERB site is up. I did the design for this site, as well as some flash work on the home page. It has since been modified alot of course, and is buggy a bit, but here it is anyways :)

Well, its off to Riyadh again on Sat, I will submit the Saudi British Bank presentation first (code-named MINT), then I will go to ANB to see why they rejected the previous designs. Wish me luck.

I just finished the ANB Prototype Presentation, and I thought I'd post it in my site since the meeting is on Sunday (Tomorrow) where the committee from the bank will choose which one to go with (of the designs I made), and I wondered which one people will think is cooler here.

Portfolio & Things To Come
I will inshallah update the site soon, adding a portfolio/resume page and making some minor design modifications, as well as activating the themes module and fixing up the admin area. I have a big day tomorrow though, and will be swamped by work till maybe the end of september, so I dunno when I will be able to fully commit to this site, if ever :)

Just to show that the best thing to get you going is a deadline..
another project's deadline, that is. I just completed the
backend upgrade required for themes, and uploaded everything. Of
course, you won't really notice anything, as I haven't made
any themes yet, but the potential is now officially there. And
inshallah I will do a couple soon.
But first, next week its..

What's to come
Well, I know some people are dissapointed that the drawings aren't
here yet.
I am working on it :)
Seriously, I might have some
time
to work on this site this weekend, and hopefully I'll be able to add
all the old pencil drawings then. Problem is, I'm still tweaking the
site's functionality and backend. One of the things almost done is
the ability for the administrator(s) to switch between themes for the
sit's look. Also, the administration area itself needs lots of
work. And i want somewhere where i can show the administration pages
to visitors... and the site map is still not there... the color
section... the about me page....
AHHH!
Oh, and i still need to make the '1-track-jukebox' on
the left more presentable (just under the copyright notice, see the
itty-bitty play button?)

Salam,
This is another test. The website hasn't been launched yet, if you
are wondering. It still exists only in the limbo of my PC'c own IIS.
So, technically, I am only talking to myself here.
I will keep these posts when i upload the site at last though, I
think it would make me more enthusiastic to do so, and god do I need
that.
I might edit this later to insert an image, just testing n stuff.
